About Koh Samui


Koh Samui is one of Thailand’s most popular tourist destinations and is the third largest island in Thailand after Phuket and Koh Chang. Samui is renowned for its beautiful tropical white-sand beaches, beautiful blue sea, tantalizing Thai cuisine and its warm and friendly locals. In recent years it has developed into a tropical tourist destination but it has still maintained its individual charm. Samui's natural attractions include the coral beds at Laem Sed and Tong Takien, the Hin Lat and Na Muang waterfalls and the phallic rock formations at the southern end of Lamai bay; Hin Ta, Hin Yai - to list a few.

Koh Samui has everything to offer - from coconut tree fringed beaches to tropical jungles and its vibrant nightlife. Activities include elephant trekking, sailing, canoeing, golfing, diving and fishing amongst many others.Places of interest include waterfalls, jungles and temples as well as the butterfly garden, secret garden, reptile farm as well as a plethora of local landmarks. Day tours to the neighboring islands of Koh Tao, Koh Nangyuan and the Angthong Marine National Park are also very popularand come highly recommended.

Getting to Samui:.

The most convenient way to get to Koh Samui is via its international airport which is serviced by several airlines operating daily domestic and international flights. There are over twenty flights a day from Bangkok alone as well as other major Thai airports and some select international destinations such as Malaysia & Singapore. Another popular option is to combine a bus and ferry / train and ferry trip which can be purchased from almost any travel agent in all of Thailand’s major tourism destinations (Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Khao Lak, Krabi, etc).
